Managing Partner

As the Managing Partner for PMML’s Ontario office, you will be responsible for spearheading our commercial real estate operations, managing the agency, and overseeing all aspects of daily operations. This role requires an individual with a proven track record in commercial real estate, strong leadership abilities, and an active real estate broker’s license in Ontario. You will work closely with the executive team to implement strategic initiatives, drive business growth, and ensure compliance with provincial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:  

Leadership & Management: 

  • Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team of brokers and support staff.
  • Establish and execute business strategies to grow the company’s market share in Ontario.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of brokers and staff.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investors, government bodies, and real estate organizations related to the investment market, such as Informa, ConnectCRE, and similar entities.

Operational Management: 

  • Ensure the agency complies with all regulations set by the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO).
  • In collaboration with the Parent Company, manage the agency’s financial performance, including budgeting, revenue growth, and profitability.
  • Implement effective business processes and systems to support day-to-day operations.

Business Development & Networking:  

  • Identify new business opportunities and client acquisition strategies to expand market presence.
  • Represent the company at industry events, fostering relationships with potential clients and partners.

Compliance & Licensing:  

  • Ensure all transactions meet legal and regulatory standards, including provincial licensing requirements.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in the real estate market and legal requirements in Ontario.

Required Skills & Qualifications:  

Licensed Real Estate Broker:  

  • Obtain or Hold Broker of Record: Hold a valid real estate broker’s license in Ontario, in compliance with RECO regulations. Obtain and maintain the designation of Broker of Record, ensuring regulatory compliance and serving as the primary point of accountability for the brokerage.

Licensed Mortgage Broker: 

  • Hold or be eligible for a valid mortgage broker’s license in Ontario, in compliance with FSRA (Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario) regulations.
  • Meet the educational and experience requirements for mortgage brokers under FSRA guidelines.

Experience in Commercial Real Estate:  

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial real estate, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Extensive knowledge of Ontario’s real estate market, trends, and regulations.

Leadership & Management Skills:  

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage teams to achieve business goals.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Business Acumen: 

  • Strong understanding of financial management, P&L responsibility, and business development.
  • Ability to create and implement effective strategies for growth and profitability.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:  

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong networking capabilities and the ability to build lasting client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience leading an agency or real estate office expansion.
  • Fluent in english and french is an asset
