Financing (AMF)
According to article 103 of the Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services, a complaint constitutes of one of the following three elements:
- a claim against the firm or its mortgage brokers
- a report of a potential or actual prejudice that could be or has been suffered by a borrower
- a request for corrective measures
Should you, as a borrower, have a specific comment or dissatisfaction about a mortgage broker or the firm, we invite you to describe the situation in writing and send it to us by email at [email protected] or by mail to 225 Prom. du Centropolis, Bur. 200, Laval, QC H7T 0B3 addressed to the Complaints Officer – Adriana Ruiz.
We will contact you within 10 days of receiving your claim.
In the event that you remain dissatisfied with the processing of your complaint and the measures taken by the firm, you may ask us to transfer your file to the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
The AMF will then analyze your case and offer dispute resolution services, if deemed appropriate.
REAL ESTATE (OACIQ)
According to Article 208896 of the Quebec Real Estate Brokerage Self-Regulatory Organization (OACIQ), responsible for ensuring the protection of the public using brokerage services governed by law, a complaint is :
“An expression of dissatisfaction with a service or behavior of a license holder, an administrator or an employee of a real estate agency.”

In the event that you remain dissatisfied with the processing of your complaint and the measures taken by the agency, you may send a Request for Assistance to the OACIQ.
The OACIQ will then analyze your case and offer dispute resolution services, if deemed appropriate.
